The female gave him one of those... I just found a dead cat in my linen closet kind of looks and... simply agreed to come along? No, she might as well have agreed to follow the man beside her. Yes, he was the captain, he wore the pants. Donovan looked over to the man and blinked at him once. At least he spoke to him a bit more. The "noble"'s keen stare looked into the captain's own.
"Well... where are my manners - you can call me Donovan, Captain. As for your employer, I've been given specific instructions - anything I tell you would give you... perhaps the wrong impression. It really is best if you see for yourself, sir. You'd trust your own eyes above any words I could give you." he said, actually quite amicably.
"And... it makes you look like you are nervous - are you nervous, captain?" he asked, eyes sharp, but his tones that of earnest concern. This was a test, he was watching the reaction, this was clear enough. He carefully and completely avoided the other question.
and as he led them toward the street, where a red sedan - an armored red sedan, mark, the two of them could tell that much, and oh look - it was complete with a stern looking guard with a gun. It was also empty. Donovan moved up to the man, and turned to the mercenaries.
"You two are armed, aren't you?" he asked them, and looked to the guard, exchanging a glance.

'damn it jacob and your weird questions.' lily thought in the privacy of her own head. She listened to the conversation in polite silence, she wondered what the hell donovan was talking about. If he wasn't the employer who was?
She sighed to herself and figured might as well go with it they needed the money anyways so it was hard to pass up, even if it was only 1.5 million credits. She continued to walk behind them in relative silence.
She knew jacob wasn't nervous he just had been that way since his surgery. She shuddered at that memory a little bit though did her best to hide it.
She watched as the armored red sedan was parked, she could recognize the fact it was armored easily. 'those things are a pain to shoot someone out of.' she thought grimly as she remembered her military days.
"Yes." She replied simply pulling a .32 cal revolver from the back of her pants. It would be strange someone using such an old weapon now days, especially when you had blasters, laser pistols, plasma weapons as alternatives. But honestly lilly felt there was no way to beat an old reliable pistol. She "I assume you want to hold on to them." she said without another word handing him her gun.
